Summer School

Greetings students and parents! This summer we will have a whirlwind of Course Recovery Activities designed to promote your 8th grader to the 9th grade! We have received specific instructions from the District on what curriculum we should follow, and we will be working toward specific learning goals each week. The class will typically follow a standard format:

  1. Daily Writing Warmup #1 – If you weren’t able to write…
  2. Opening Lesson or Review
  3. Whole Group Instruction – Irony / Author Online
  4. Guided Instruction
  5. Guided Practice or Independent Practice
  6. Exit Activity
  7. Home Learning – Student Contract

Check back here for specific lesson plans for each day – adjusted as we progress throughout the summer session.
