We will continue on this same project for January 14. We need to get our work published (or turned in) today!
This week we will be working on our mid-year essay writing. First, please see the tab above called “Essay Writing” for specific instructions and prompts. Then we will complete the following:
- When you have completed the two essays, choose your best one to peer-edit.
- Your partner will use the proofreading symbols to help you improve your writing.
- You will edit and type your essay out. 8th graders will publish their essay on Wattpad. 6th graders will turn theirs in through Edmodo. 7th graders may get lucky and be allowed to type at all.
- You will be graded according to the essay writing rubric which will be posted in the “Pages” section above.
The Paper-Free Class 
I consider this a wonderful opportunity for education that is long overdue. This move provides an avenue for timely and affordable updates. No doubt there will be those who are unable to afford computers and Internet connections, but these may be the same students who would have difficulty affording expensive text books.
