Well, not really the end. The end of the school year for sure! I have really enjoyed this year, experimenting with technology in the classroom and learning a lot of new things with my students. It has been interesting to see what works and what doesn’t. If all goes well, we will be starting all over again in August, so stay tuned! This time around, we are going to focus more on a handful of online and computer-based tools, narrowing it down a little bit from what we used this year. Probably we will focus more on using Edmodo as a hub for most assignments to be turned in. It isn’t perfect, but it is a good consolidation tool. We will also perfect our online portfolios using Evernote. We will still write our blogs, but we may use them as extensions of what we are learning in class instead of forcing students to write on the same topic every week. I am note sure about keeping Wattpad, but we will definitely be using Socrative often for quizzes and remediation. FCAT Explorer and FCAT Focus are a given, but we will have to see if we get the license to Study Island. If so, we will definitely use that as well. What do you think?
